Selected top woods: Bastogne walnut, burled redwood and spalted poplar.
Selected fingerboard woods: Goncalo alves, zolernia and indian rosewood.
Here you can see how the the shaping of the body is done; everything is done by hand using hand tools.
Carving detail
Nice redwood top and wenge/maple/wenge binding. The bodies are shaped and rough sanded. There is more fine sanding and detail shaping to be done
The matching back for the body on the left. The wood is white Limba. Also known as Korina
Bastogne walnut on Solomon padouk
Olive top on walnut
Spalted poplar on abachi with a African padouk sound layer
The X-ergo carved back

We are not sure yet what fingerboard might fit best to this body. This is a birdseye African padouk fingerboard. It has a warmer and more growly tone. What about matching birdseye African padouk pick-up covers?

In this picture its with an ebony fingerboard. The ebonyhas a brighter and more articulate sound. Goes well with our black hardware. What about a Fretless bas? Ebony pick-up covers? Let us know what you think!

Some necks. The headstock is rough cut and the necks are cut to their width. Two 6-strings and a 5-string
Tuner holes are drilled and the wooden logo (wenge and maple) is inlayed.
Ready for neck shaping
Like mentioned before, everything is done by hand using hand tools only.
Rough shaped necks
Time for fretting!
